Every year Muscatine spends approximately $20,000 on fireworks and the fourth of July parade, and they are asking local businesses and community supporters for support. Sponsorships of Muscatine's fourth of july celebration range from the $50-$99 'friend level', to the $100-$249 'bronze' level, all the way up to the $1000 or more platinum level.
Also, of important note, however, is the deadline for standard entry into the fourth of July parade.

Good news! Folks waiting for Nintendo's Wii Fit don't have to wait long for their copy (unless all their neighbors also have the Wii).
Drivers should expect delays if using the intersection of Park Avenue and Highway 61 today. Crews have been out since earlier this morning, working on apparent problems with the stoplights.

As the waters rose last week, flooding most of the riverfront and even into downtown, we could see our Clam-Hunter statue right in his element, right in the midst of the Mississippi. The water has now mostly receded, except from the immediate riverfront area.
